Kindergarten ended the year with a VoiceThread called Kindergarten Is The Best Because ... Do you agree with their reasons that Kindergarten is the best?
Spring
Spring brought lessons about Earth Day and owls to Kindergarten.
Winter Wonderland
Kindergarten participated in the Winter Wonderland project this year and completed many of the activities during December, January & February.
February:
In February, Kindergarten learned about the sports in the Winter Olympics and voted for their favorite and then they created a skiing picture in KidPix.
January:
Kindergarten completed Penguin Math Books - even the hard color by number slide at the end!
Kindergarten listened to the book My Brother Loved Snowflakes and then drew snow pictures in Kid Pix which were combined into an Animoto video. We hope you enjoy our snowstorm.
December:
St. Martin's Kindergarten students drew pictures of Christmas and completed Gingerbread Glyphs in Kidpix. The pictures that they drew of Christmas were used to create our Christmas card for the Holiday Card exchange with other schools in the Winter Wonderland project.
Kindergarten also added their voices to the HolidayTraditions VoiceThread.
Fall Fun
In October, Kindergarten learned about Internet Safety and drew their own Jack-o-Lanterns in a program called Drawing For Children for Halloween. November brought the start of Kindergarten's Keyboarding Adventure which they will complete sometime in the spring and a chance to create their own digital hand turkeys in KidPix for Thanksgiving. Enjoy the showcase of Kindergarten's pumpkins & turkeys.
KinderKidsDraw
Kindergarten is participating in the collaborative project, KinderKidsDraw, which connects Kindergarten classes around the world.
